Some useful information regarding the conference and getting around in Granada

Registration and the Conference Secretariat will be located in the Faculty of Educational Sciences. Conference Opening, Talking Circles and Parallel sessions will be held in the Faculty of Educational Sciences. Plenary sessions will be held in the Faculty of Arts Building.
The Learning Conference buildings are labelled and highlighted on a local area map found online on the location page. The Faculty of Education Building is opposite the Monasterio de La Cartuja (Monastery Of La Cartuja).

GETTING TO AND FROM THE CONFERENCE VENUE AND HOTELS
Airport Transportation options
A taxi to hotels will cost approximately 20 Euros.
- Shuttle Bus Service
A public shuttle bus service is also available from the airport to the City Centre. Tickets cost approximately 3 Euros and can be purchased on arrival into Granada Airport. You will need to check with the driver to confirm if the shuttle can stop at your hotel.
Venue Transportation options
- Local buses that go to the conference venue "Ciencias de la Educación (The Faculty of Educational Sciences, University of Granada) are Lines C, U and 8 and 20. They depart from the City Centre approximately every 15 minutes.
Driving to the Venue
- The local committee have informed us that driving in the city centre is quite difficult. However, should you choose to drive to the conference venue, street parking is available near the Faculty at no cost.
PRESENTATION EQUIPMENTPlease ensure that if you are conducting a computer based presentation to bring your own lap top computer. The conference secretariat will provide data projectors and overhead projectors only. As a back up we suggest you bring the core of your presentation on overhead transparencies as well.
CONFERENCE DINNER – WEDNESDAY 11th July 2007The conference dinner is to be held at Palacio de los Córdova on the evening of the second day of the conference. Transfer times from the conference venue to the dinner location will be announced during the conference. If you have already booked, your dinner ticket will be available for collection at the registration desk. Limited tickets will also be available for purchase at the conference and you are welcome to book for accompanying friends and family members.
