Developing Resilient Organisational Structures
The use of a systems engineering approach to develop organisational structures and job designs is described. The organisation is seen as a complex adaptive system development with the human component as a sub- system. The perspective of designing from the desired output is taken and the effect of the various subsystems on reliability and resilience in a rapidly changing environment is explored.
