Reflecting about the Gender’s Relation in an Intercultural Society: Between Universal Rights and Cultural Peculiarities of Spain and Morocco
This paper intends reflecting of the definition based on different values such as freedom, equality, etc. in some and variety groups and cultural contexts (Spain and Marocco). Through a descriptive analysis, the main purpose, on the one hand, is going to understand the role developed by women in the cultural tradition in Spain and Marocco, in this case, because they are two countries that share so much geographical aspects, but at the same time, they are conditioned by some differences projected for example in a peculiar way to interpret the world. On the other hand, considering the imminent growth of people from Marocco, as well as other groups, it could be an important question to wonder how it is possible an intercultural education from a gender focus, characterized by the equality of Human Rights between men and women through the First Plan of Equality in Education (2006) in the case of Spain, with culture very different that perceiving the womanhood connected to be in charge of the family, home and consigned to a second place without any possibilities to participate in prestigious and powerful positions. The “imposition” of the universal rights and the reject of the diversity (particularities of every culture or group) can be rules that they will have to be clarifying in a reflective way. Thus, the intercultural relations will be defined in order to get a society more equality and respectful from a gender point of view.
